In this week’s podcast we discussed how to eat healthier on Thanksgiving. One cup of eggnog has 225 calories, 10 g fat, 20 g of sugar, not to mention many questionable ingredients including High Fructose Corn Syrup, and natural and artificial flavor (both are possible sources of MSG). In addition, the 10 g of fat is the unhealthy kind of fat! To learn more about dietary fat, be sure to listen to last week’s podcast! With no further ado, here is my recipe for a healthier alternative to store-bought egg nog!
Grass-Fed, Organic Egg Nog
1/2 gallon grassfed, organic whipping cream
4 organic, pastured eggs (beaten)
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1/2 cup coconut nectar
1 cup of bourbon
Cinnamon and nutmeg (to taste)
Put all ingredients in the blender and blend until combined. Enjoy!
