Eating Coaching
The key to establishing a healthy relationship with food is to understand how the body actually metabolizes it, (as opposed to the many myths about fat, carbohydrates and protein) and to learn to prepare foods that are delicious as well as nutritious.
Diets do not work! Dieting is dangerous! Not only is it ineffective, it is at the root of many eating disorders. We think that rabbit food should be for rabbits! Our patients learn that food preparation can be easy and that the results can be fabulous. Mostly they learn that they can overcome their fears, eat delicious food and be more fit than they ever dreamed possible.
Experts in the field of nutrition agree that one’s diet should consist of complex carbohydrates such as fruits and vegetables, low-fat proteins such as the less fatty cuts of beef, pork, poultry or fish, and the good fats such as the omega 3 fats found in fish or flax seed oil.
